The 5 Best Wrestlers of All Time.

Hello all. Because of this Corona Virus keeping me stuck inside, I’ve been watching a lot of wrestling documentaries and boy has it sparked some nostalgia.

As a young fellow I loved tuning into Raw every Monday night and SmackDown on Fridays (in fact so much that we used to watch it on the tv at school dances, because you needed to know what was going down). But alas, gone are the good ol’ days of wrestling. I watch here and there now, but usually only when someone from my Childhood comes back (Shoutout Edge). So I’ve been putting a lot of thought into this list, so without further adu (I think it’s adieu, but I’m not french nor do I care) , here is my list of the 5 Best Wrestlers of All Time (In no particular order).

  1. Eugene

Eugene was a real wrestler. He was the embodiment of the “It’s real to me, Damn it” kid from that old youtube video. Sure, Eugene’s character wouldn’t fly nowadays because everyone gets offended at funny things (I’ll bet those same people that LOVED The Ringer). His stunner was arguably better than Stone Cold’s. He deserved to be the WWE Champion at least once.

2. Hurricane

STAND BACK, THERE’S A HURRICANE COMING THROUGH.

Everyone jumped from their seats (Or couches at home) when they heard the Hurricane’s theme start. Ohh Boy did you know you were in for a show! Hurricane was a real life super hero that just happened to also wrestle in WWE. My favorite part of the Hurricane’s wrestling career was when he teamed with Rosey (His super hero in training), Quite possibly making the Best Tag Team in the history of the business. He really blew the fans away!

3. Seven

Seven a very short lived character. (Apparently because he wanted to go back to being Goldust and wearing lingerie.) It’s a shame because he probably would’ve been the WCW equivalent of The Undertaker and Probably even better than him. Honestly if you saw Seven outside your window or in a dark alley, you would book it outta there. He was 100% a creepy character. Unfortunately, his reign was over before it even started. (Who am I to judge, I’ve never worn lingerie before, it might be worth throwing away a great character for.)

4. Snitsky

IT WASN’T HIS FAULT. Snitsky was a very under utilized talent. He does however have my favorite Raw moment of all time (when he punted the baby doll). I would’ve like to have seen a lot more out of him. (Less about his foot fetish though. Feet are gross)

5. Razor Ramon and Diesel

Razor and Diesel are arguably one of the most recognizable and iconic duos of wrestling. When Scott Hall and Kevin Nash went to WCW, Razor and Diesel really took off. The second iteration of the characters was way better than the traitor Nash and Hall versions. I’d go as far to say that Diesel is Glen Jacobs’ second best character (Issac Yankem is #1). While their time was short, I think it’s safe to say that they made a huge impact on the business and the hearts of fans everywhere.

Okay, Okay. On to the REAL list

Honestly it’s so hard to pick a top 5 so the only ones I know for sure are in mine are Shawn Michaels and Kane. They’re both great at what they do. Andre the Giant was literally larger than life. Mick Foley is a legend so he definitely belongs there, and I’ll leave the last slot open for now (I can tell you Goldberg isn’t ever going on that list though. I don’t like him. He looks like a mean gym teacher that would try to get with your mom.)

Feel free to discuss or criticize the list, or give me your own list. (But if Goldberg is on it, do me a favor and keep it to yourself.)

P.s. Eugene really was a great wrestler though.
