It’s no secret that I’m Goin’ Overboard’s resident hot dog guy. I absolutely love hot dogs, So when I saw this wonderful thing online, I knew I had to have it. In fact I almost even bought one to give as a wedding present, just so I had an excuse to get one for myself too.
What is A Hotdog Toaster, You Ask?
Well, Idiot, it’s exactly what it sounds like. It’s a toaster that you substitute hotdogs for the bread (Though there are nifty bun warmer slots). Manufactured by Nostalgia Products, The Company behind such great products as:

The Hot dog Toaster is the most convenient way I have ever seen to make a quick dog. It doesn’t taste funny like a microwaved dog and it isn’t rubbery like a boiled hot dog. Honestly, I’d put it up there with a dog cooked over an open fire. They’re just that good. I’m not gonna go into details about how it works, because it’s obvious. If you can make toast, you can make a hot dog with this thing.
I got mine as a Christmas gift (Probably, because the old lady was tired of hearing me talk about wanting one every 30 seconds) and I’ve already been through at least 50 hot dogs. I didn’t even eat that many hot dogs in a year back when I used to buy them from Sheetz (I’m holding your shout out until I get Banana Muffin Tops Back) after a night at the bar!
We’ve all tried the toaster here at Goin’ Overboard, Minus Brody because he hates hot dogs… except that time he ate like 20 (Which is also how many dollars this thing costs!) and We give it our Stamp of approval. In my opinion it is the best invention in the 21st century. I expect Nostalgia to be up there with Google and Facebook before too long with their great products! I’d give this a 5/5! 11/10!
