Today I was watching “Goon 2: The Last of the Enforcers” and there’s a scene where washed up hockey players fight on the ice for a crowd. Now we know that one of the best parts of watching hockey (Especially Minor League) is the fights. There’s definitely a market for this kind of thing. You get has been NHL players that everyone hated (Ovechkin, 10 years down the road) then load the lineup with Minor league players that never got their shot at the bigs. Boom. Pure testosterone just blasting the fuck out of each other at center ice.
What gets remembered more? The ’97 seasons of the Colorado Avalance and Detroit Red Wings or the night they beat the ever living shit out of each other?

Even the goalies get in on this one. Which is awesome.
So we know there’s a market for it. Boxing is going downhill. No one wants to watch Mayweather hug a guy for 120 bucks anymore. At least this would be guaranteed entertainment. If Lavar Ball can get people to watch his sons play shitty basketball in Lithuania then some rich dickhead can make this happen. Have The Hanson Brothers Host it.
